Construction costs of timber frame homes vary broadly across the country. Prices normally run between $125 and $175 per square foot for finished post and beam homes. A timber frame will usually add approximately 10% per square foot to the cost of a conventionally-framed house. The cost of the building package represents roughly 1/3 of the final cost, exclusive of land and infrastructure.
